I'm also an avid 18" doll fan. I love sewing for these dolls. I have a large collection of patterns and my goal is to make at least one of each outfit! My favorites are the dresses and I really like sewing the costumey outfits ( Cheerleaders, Bumblebee, Band Uniform, etc.). I will start taking photos of my doll clothing creations. Up until now, I just sew and sew and don't think about taking photos.

My newest project is something I've wanted to do for a while. I'm collecting 18" dolls that people give me or sell me really cheap, making clothing for them, and donating them to children in our Child Protective Services system. I'm hoping to hook up with the women's shelter here too, but haven't accomplished that yet.

Anyone else do this kind of thing?
~Donna~Sewing for charity and then some - http://www.donationdolls.com

Years ago when my youngest son had to go to the hospital for surgery because he was bitten by a dog on his face, the hospital gave him a little stuffed cat that was very simply made. He just loved that little thing and it brought him much comfort during that time in the hospital and quite awhile afterward.

I am planning (and I need to get going on it) to sew a bunch of little things like this to donate to the hospital. They work up much faster than a full sized quilt and I don't end up with a house full of pillows that I tried out a new design on.
