hello!
what's the best method for pressing newly-made pinch pleat drapes? Iron? Steam machine? my three-year-old drapes look nice but they have lost their crisp edge. Does a steam machine just iron out the wrinkles? thanks |

Kathy - Depending on the size of the drapes, it may be easier to steam in place. Using a hand held steamer, with an insulated pad or pot holder behind the pleat to prevent burning your hand, steam from the top to the bottom of the drape. While still hot, finger press each pleat to get a crisper look. After pressing the entire drape, open and tie with fabric strips to help "train" the pleats into the correct placement.
